Description
We purchased this unit to generate nanosecond pulses from visible laser diodes. Our work is complete. A new version of the driver (AVO-9W-B) sells for ,998.The system has been completely tested and has been found to meet the original manufactures specifications. We we're unable to determine the precise minimum pulse width achievable with the unit due to the bandwidth limitations of our oscilloscope and probe.
System consists of:
AVTECH AVO-2W-C-P Laser Pulse Driver
AVTECH AVO-2W-T Output Module with 5.1 Ohm resistor, and a 3 pin laser diode mount with a series 38k Ohm resistor.
Power Cord
Testing:
Unit tested with Tektronix TDS2014B Scope (100 Mhz) and a P6063B Probe (x10, 14 pf).
Results:
Pulse Width: <5 nsec* to 50 nsec
Rise Time: 2.6 nsec*
Fall Time: 6.6 nsec*
* limited to our scope and probe bandwidth
